COVID-19 Relief & Food Distribution Initiative
During the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, India implemented a nationwide lockdown to contain the spread of the virus. While these measures were essential for public safety, they also created severe challenges for vulnerable communities, particularly migrant workers and daily-wage earners who were stranded away from their homes and livelihoods.
Recognising the difficulties faced by these communities, Gautam Budha Society for Social Welfare stepped forward to support people in need during this challenging period. As part of its relief efforts, the Society provided food and essential support to needy and vulnerable people on a regular basis throughout the lockdown period.
This initiative was undertaken with the aim of helping affected families and individuals meet their basic food requirements during a time of uncertainty and hardship. The effort reflected the Society’s commitment to community welfare, compassion and social responsibility during the COVID-19 crisis.
